Leizl M. Tabon, CPA – PARTNER
Leizl began her accounting career in 2002, where she served in the predecessor firm for 14 years. She is a specialist in a broad base of tax matters, financial statement preparation, compilation, review, and audit.
Leizl earned her Bachelor’s degree of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of San Francisco. She also did post-graduate study at Golden Gate University in Accounting and Taxation.
In addition, Leizl serves on the board of the Maui High School Foundation.
DOUGLAS K. LEVIN, CPA, MBT – Partner
Doug is a Specialist in taxation of C & S corporations, partnerships, and high net worth individuals. He has additional expertise in multi-state taxation and U.S. taxation of foreign operations.
Doug has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix in 1987, a Certificate in Accounting from CSUDH in 1993, and a Masters in Business Taxation at the University of Southern California in 1997. He started his career as a senior accountant in private industry for 5 years, then spent 7 years with Deloitte & Touche as a Tax Manager in the Los Angeles area. He moved to Maui, Hawaii in 2000, where he started his own practice, which later merged in 2006 to form the predecessor firm to Levin & Tabon.
Doug also currently serves on the Finance Committee for the Boys & Girls Club of Maui.
Linda Leigh-Helbling, CPA – Manager
Linda comes to Levin & Tabon with 20 plus years professional experience in individual, expatriate and small business taxation.
Linda is a graduate of Southern Indiana University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Accounting.
Linda lived and worked in Saudi Arabia for 12 years. While employed by Saudi Arabian Oil Co, she managed the U.S non-resident tax compliance programs.
Linda’s goal is to understand her client’s needs and provide them with appropriate professional services. Her maturity, friendliness and expatriate experiences enhance her ability to meet this goal.
Bonnie Yurkanin -
Bonnie moved to Maui in 1973 where she met her husband on the day she arrived. She worked as a medical assistant in many well known physicians’ offices over the last twenty years before joining the Levin & Tabon team.
Bonnie's warm and welcoming personality and administrative skills have contributed greatly to our ability to effectively serve our clients. She is a member of Unity Church where she serves as a Chaplain.
LANI STOUT - Office Manager
Born in Honolulu, Oahu to Hawaiian ancestry and growing up in Washington State, Lani spent several years in California, Oregon, mid-west and east coast before moving back to Hawaii in 2003. Lani brings with her a 25+ year experience in the legal field as a legal secretary and paralegal. She began her legal career in a district attorney’s office and then continued to work in various private law firms. Lani’s strong organizational skills have contributed greatly toward the office administration and management of Levin & Tabon.
As a native Hawaiian, Lani preserves and promotes her Hawaiian heritage and culture through the arts of hula and language. She is currently the Kumu for God's House Hula Worship Ministry.
MARYALICE MASUDA - SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Maryalice is a graduate of the University of Hawaii - West Oahu and Maui Community College. She holds a B.A. in Business Administration - Accounting and an A.A. in Liberal Arts.
Maryalice brings to Levin & Tabon approximately 15 years of public accounting experience. Maryalice is currently pursuing her CPA designation.
She is a member of the Apostolic Faith Church aka "Jesus Coming Soon," where she is a member of the Choir and Orchestra. She enjoys reading, listening to music, singing for the Lord and spending time with family and helping others.
PAMELA KOENIGS - SENIOR ACCOUNTANT
Pam started her accounting career in 1993 when she joined the United States Army. She was a Finance Specialist, stationed on Oahu, Ft. Shafter. Pam graduated from AIT, Ft. Benjamin Harrison, Indiana for finance as a Honor Student.
Upon fulfilling her contract with the military in 1998, Pam began her career in preparing income taxes. She comes to us with over 25 years of experience in finance and accounting and a background in diverse cultures and nationalities. Her travels have taken her from a small town in Kentucky, to many countries in Europe, and now, for over 20 years, she has resided on the islands of Hawaii.
yVETTE lAROCCA - STAFF ACCOUNTANT
Yvette comes to Levin & Tabon with 14 years as a Tax Professional with emphasis on Small Business Tax preparation.
She is attending the UH Maui College for her A.A. degree in accounting and anticipates graduating in May 2018. After graduating, she will attend West Oahu for her B.A. in Business Administration with a major in Accounting, and continuing with a M.A. in Business Accounting at Schindler's College.
Prior to accounting, she was a Banker for 20 years -- with her last job as Buyer/Seller in International Finance.
Her hobbies are sailing, Native American Indian Dancing and sewing.
DON COUCH - information technology manager
Well known locally as a former Maui County Council Member for the Kihei district, Don has served as our part time IT manager for over a decade. He works to keep our computers and servers running smoothly and securely.
